Scholarships

CAPLA student

A current CAPLA student in need of funding for college or for studying abroad?

Applications are now open for travel and academic scholarships for the 2026-2027 academic year!

Apply for travel and academic scholarships!

The University of Arizona and CAPLA offer scholarships for current undergraduate and graduate students in all CAPLA degree programs. Many are need-based and require only that you be a student in good standing. Other scholarships and awards are program-specific, and others are merit-based. Think you might not qualify academically? There are several scholarships that are based on criteria other than GPA.

CAPLA Scholarships

View CAPLA scholarships are through ScholarshipUniverse, though some scholarships are managed through direct application. Before you begin applying for CAPLA scholarships, please update your ScholarshipUniverse profile to ensure you view the scholarships you are eligible for.

The deadline for 2026-2027 scholarship submissions is November 15.

How to Apply

Most applications can be submitted via ScholarshipUniverse, in which you can typically submit one application to be considered for many scholarships, though a few do have additional requirements or questions. Other scholarships and opportunities are managed outside to ScholarshipUniverse and represent awards specific to CAPLA. You may apply to these by following the instructions for each application, as noted for each scholarship in the Scholarships Available Outside Scholarship Universe panel above.

Helpful Advice

It’s good to get a sense of the requirements and then draft any statements or essays outside of ScholarshipUniverse so that you may edit and refine your response. Then paste your text into the appropriate field in ScholarshipUniverse.

Other Scholarship and Funding Opportunities

In addition to CAPLA scholarships, consider seeking scholarships and funding from other sources, including:

BWS Architects provides professional design services that are timeless, responsive, and beautiful to change what is possible for
our community. As such, BWS Architects would like to give back to the Arizona design community by offering Arizona students an architectural scholarship.

The scholarship is for $1,000 supporting an Arizona resident attending the University of Arizona or Arizona State University within a NAAB-accredited bachelor or master’s degree program. To help the scholarship recipient gain professional experience, the recipient may also be offered a paid internship position working for BWS Architects during the scholarship year.

More information forthcoming for the current academic year.
